This period semi-detached property was top heavy, with 4 bedrooms and yet very minimal family space at ground floor.
Our design created a funky rear single storey extension housing a large kitchen with island and breakfast bar, utility and sitting room. We incorporated an asymmetrical pitched roof to maximise the natural light, whilst dynamically also creating interest. Internally we also opened up the new space to the dining room, retaining the existing sash window as a feature.
Externally, the material palette included brick with aluminium accents, these were chosen to express the architectural lines of the design.
